Question About Cell Phones & Their Carriers
So, The370z has a lot of people all from different walks of life. Hopefully we have someone in the phone business here to help with my question. I just switched from T-Mobile to Verizon and got myself a Droid Razr. My wife is gonna make the switch with me as well, and add herself onto my plan. She wants to keep her Samsung Galaxy S II though.
So heres the question: If we unlock her Galaxy, will she still get 4G off of verizons 4G LTE? Thanks guys. And remember, You Stay Classy San Diego |
Sorry to say, the answer is no. A T-mobile Samsung Galaxy S II is not compatible with Verizon's 4G network.
T-mobile uses HSPA+ to deliver their "4G" (it is really an enhanced-data 3G), while the Verizon LTE is a different technical network. |
dang, well I'll let her know and she can decide. Might as well just get her the Nexus when (if ever) it is released. Thanks takjak
