Fire Pit protection

I'm thinking of buying a fire pit for cooler nights out on the patio.

There is a cover that comes with it for times that it is not being used, but I would like to spray it with some coating that will additionally help prevent rust and corrosion. Obviously, it will need to withstand high temps.

Hoping someone here might have a suggestion.

A lot of it depends on the type of material the pit is already made of. My buddy has a very nice one made out of copper. It's never had any issues with any type of wear.

This one is steel with some sort of bronze finish.

It does say that the finish is "weather resistant", whatever that means.

Best solution is to build one into the ground. I did it with a buddy of mine at his house. Not too hard to do, just tedious work

True, but the problem here, in Florida, is that we need it on the inside of our screened pool enclosure, which has a concrete deck.

Copy that. I had a cheap one from target that did just fine, so I'm sure if its good quality it wont have a problem
