Paralegal is a pretty cool job, you do a lot of work tho.. lawyers depend on their PL's

Yeah, I knew that they helped the lawyer out, but I'm not 100% sure what they do. I never really got to look into what other jobs were out there, my dad basically told me at the age of 10 I had to become an engineer. :ugh2:

Thanks! I figure either I'll like it, or I'll make enough to keep me in school so I can train for something else. :icon17:

True, Tech is the hardest, especially your first time, but it's not impossible to do, especially with the shitty EPR system, if you've got all 5's you've got a chance. Especially testing out of cycle.

I just hope I can get on with someone who understand my sleep schedule. I'll get the work done, early even. As long as I don't have to be in an office at 6am. :icon17:

I'd prefer to work prosecution rather than defense though, so hopefully a state office has openings... :icon14:

Yeah, I don't see why they would complain about what time you came in as long as the work is finished on time. Thats something that has always bothered me. Why should it matter when you do the work, as long as you meet the deadline....however the employer never sees it that way.

Exactly my point. But yeah, employers never understand, which is why 1. I'm no longer in the military, which I can understand their rationalle, but instead of trying to help/work with me and put me somewhere where I can still serve on a different schedule, I get the ******* ******** who just wanted me out. :shakes head:

But I agree, if it's a job thats not time dependent, and all I'm doing is leg work and paper trail following and research, so what if I'm doing it all night and drop it off on the lawyers desk at 4am when I go home... He's got it when he goes in to court at 8 with time to review it... :ugh2:

I can honestly admit that I could NEVER make it in the military. Just being plain honest, I am too big of a sissy. When someone starts yelling at me and getting hostile I :eekdance:

I am the same way as you are...sort of. I would rather work from Noon-Midnight instead of 7am-7pm. That is just the time that I function best at.

It's really not that hard. Most people think the military is all the same like during basic. It's not, once you're out of basic, there's no one yelling at you all the time lol (unless you're a screw up) but even then it's all yelling on paper telling you what a POS you are and how your actions 'bring great discredit to yourself, your unit, the air force, and the United States as a whole' and makes you feel like you might as well go kill yourself.

But actually being in the military really isn't any different than being in any other corporation... Aside from uniforms and deploying.

Yeah.... Not sure if I am mentally strong enough to make it through basic :ugh2:
Like I can handle physical beatings when I screw up, but when someone bitches at me I just get all bent out of shape.

Plus I like being at home, so I don't know how well the deployed part would go. :rofl2:
I do have a great deal of respect for those who are in/were in the military though. :usa:

**** like that bothers me. You do all the work, yet someone else gets all the money.

Thats why I want to be like my dad and own my own business. Think about it, if you are working for someone else, no matter how good of a job you do, you are just going to be making the owner more money.

:iagree: But I like that kind of stuff. And I'd want my lawyer to win all of his cases, so that motivates me to want to find every detail and cheat that we can. I strive for excellence and accept nothing less.

True they do, but they've put in their time and efforts to get it. Paralegals can still make bank though depending on the sector and size of the firm they work for.
