shadoquad 06-06-2012 04:31 PM

Invite me, too, unless you're gonna require me to wear clothing.

Hope you studied, cause I have a feeling this year is going to be a shitty percentage, judging by E7's rates...

:icon17: Welcome to my world.

It's going okay, Psychology is cake, but english is kicking my ***. I don't pick up on formal writing mechanics that much, I'm more of a free-form writer, so it's hard to get the word/tense usage the teacher wants. Plus I managed to get a super hard grading english teacher on a summer class... :ugh2:

:icon18: Haha, no kidding this was my thought process.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUU can't sleep... Too bad theres nothing to do....Oh wait, I will do what cwiz does when he can't sleep... www.the370z.com :roflpuke2:

I agree, English is a bitch. I got lucky and since my school has only engineering majors they overlook the english classes haha. I have friends that go to The University of Georgia, but they come down to my school and take their english classes during the summer because it is so much easier!

Good luck with the hard teacher. They are bad enough during a normal semester, but with a shortened schedule its going to make it 10x as hard.

Yeah, we have 6 weeks, and we meet 2x a week. I have to do 6 article reviews of 2 pages, 3 longer papers on a narrative, and argumentative, and a research base. And also get the required readings in... Ugh. I know it's not bad for more educated people, but for me its no fun. :icon17:

:eekdance: Holy hell. If I had a class like that I would be all like :wtf2:

In both my english classes we met 2x week for 16 weeks. The first 8 weeks we got divided into 4 groups of 7 and each group given a movie. 1st week we watched the movie for group 1. Second week group 1 gave their 15 minute presentation on the movie. Third week watched group 2's movie. Fourth week group 2 gave their presentation.... and so on and so forth.

The second 8 weeks we were given 4 movies that we had to watch outside of class on our own and do a review of.

So literally I watched 5 movies and did 5 review/presentations over them. It was SO easy.

Side note: My teacher was 78. She drove a 1960's corvette and lives on a houseboat! Coolest woman ever :roflpuke2:

Paralegal is a pretty cool job, you do a lot of work tho.. lawyers depend on their PL's

Yeah, I knew that they helped the lawyer out, but I'm not 100% sure what they do. I never really got to look into what other jobs were out there, my dad basically told me at the age of 10 I had to become an engineer. :ugh2:

Thanks! I figure either I'll like it, or I'll make enough to keep me in school so I can train for something else. :icon17:

True, Tech is the hardest, especially your first time, but it's not impossible to do, especially with the shitty EPR system, if you've got all 5's you've got a chance. Especially testing out of cycle.

I just hope I can get on with someone who understand my sleep schedule. I'll get the work done, early even. As long as I don't have to be in an office at 6am. :icon17:

I'd prefer to work prosecution rather than defense though, so hopefully a state office has openings... :icon14:

Yeah, I don't see why they would complain about what time you came in as long as the work is finished on time. Thats something that has always bothered me. Why should it matter when you do the work, as long as you meet the deadline....however the employer never sees it that way.

Exactly my point. But yeah, employers never understand, which is why 1. I'm no longer in the military, which I can understand their rationalle, but instead of trying to help/work with me and put me somewhere where I can still serve on a different schedule, I get the ******* ******** who just wanted me out. :shakes head:

But I agree, if it's a job thats not time dependent, and all I'm doing is leg work and paper trail following and research, so what if I'm doing it all night and drop it off on the lawyers desk at 4am when I go home... He's got it when he goes in to court at 8 with time to review it... :ugh2:
