Appointments...

I go to a brake service place to get pricing and info. Ask them when they have a slot. They say first thing in the morning do you want to make an appointment. I say do i need to or can i bring it in when its not busy. Right now no one is busy. They say i need to make an appointment to get it worked on and guarantee the time to work on it. I say ok whats a good time. 7am. Its an hour later and they still havent even looked at it. Wtf is the point of appointments if youre not going to keep them....another thing i've noticed if you wait on a vehicle it gets done faster than just dropping it off. I dont think they manage time very well. Aggravating.

3hrs later and now theyre looking at it. Whats the hold up...they got swamped. Yes great for business but those people should come after me. I made an appointment they did not they should wait. Steam coming out of my head now...and it costs as much as the dealership go figure. Rant over.

This is why I just go to the dealership. Have not found mechanics that charge less, OR warranty labor/parts as well. Just swallow the pill and go to the dealer and be done with it. Pay once, cry once.

yeah i just ordered a driver side front caliper and picked up some pads. total cost to me will be right around 100. what the places wanted was 290 to 310! screw that noise. plus there are tech manuals online for anything you may not know how to do....of course im no longer on warranty. so diy is no issue.
