Well for heating and power we would have to bring some nuclear material. Utilize the ice and snow to prevent a meltdown. The steam can be used to generate power and heat.

Since we will be underground, we could possibly look at geothermal energy solutions?

Being underground in a zombie invasion sounds like a world of **** waiting to happen. No you're just gonna have to get use to the cold.

Well if they freeze in the cold, then there's nothing to worry about. Right? They would never even make it to us because they would freeze before they ever got there. If we're underground, they don't even know where we are if they do make it.

Yeah but I was talking about the actual mechanical device that would hold them and prevent them from escaping.
?

But we still need a way to transport them from the pit to the biofuel facility.

True. We need to collect them and store them in the freezer before they thaw out.

Lemers 11-09-2011 07:35 PM

What if they bite you during transport?

one more "piece" of biofuel then is suppose.

Lemers 11-09-2011 07:40 PM

So we are going to go out a collect our zombies and bring them back into our Underground "safe zone" where it is warm and they can thaw out. See where I'm going with this. Then it's zombie invasion in the underground and all sh!t breaks out with nowhere to go.

That's why you have a big machine transport them so that you're not anywhere near close enough for that to happen. I'm thinking a giant cage that is lifted by crane from the pit/holding area to the biofuel facility.

/\ I'd watch that movie, sounds entertaining. But you're right, there's a key flaw in that plan, if only I could put my finger on it...

No I think there is some confusion here. The Antarctic underground hideout I proposed is completely separate from everything else. The biofuels facility would be inside of our camp/city where we live. The Antarctic hideout was a backup plan in case all else fails. Sort of like the island idea, except even if they do manage to get close, they will all freeze.

Lemers 11-09-2011 07:46 PM

Well that's what I get for not going back and reading the prior post.
