Ya...my bad for thinking about this on a more in-depth level for a fun exercise. Clealy, nukes are the answer. Let me boot up my SNES, throw in my Game Genie and turn on my unlimited ammo cheat.

If zombies do not function in a similar manner as living beings (deriving energy from metabolic processes), then HOW do they function?

Otherwise, watch out for those flying zombies. They might take out your b-52.

well it DEPENDS on whose zombies you are talking about...

however we will go with generic zombies...
they defy normal logic as they are DEAD but they still walk around...
perhaps they are driven my voodoo magic in which case NO they would not need any metabolic process...

and to prove my point... you can shoot a zombie in the gut, and heart.. obliterating both organs... yet they still continue to function...

But still zombies, in a realistic sense, wouldn't actually be undead. They would have to have some beastly nervous system, while not maintaining high central function. If you know anything about the tissue that makes up the heart, its pretty amazing. the heart will actually given enough time, do its own bypass. Also why do you zombie have the unstobble urge to eat things? they burn through ATP like crazy, which the most certainly would need for locomotion. Zombie ain't no magiC! zombie ais a freak of science. like spiderman!

They may not follow the rules of the human body but they must follow the rules of physics or else they would be aliens and that would be a whole other problem.

Most zombie movies I have seen show some of the zombies starving to the point that they can barely move but not necessarily cease activity. We need to figure out a way to disrupt that energy delivery system in a way that puts them in a state of suspended animation. If we can do this then we can round them all up and only have to use one or two nukes to rid the world of them. Maybe we keep them around to do experiments or we can weaponize them...

FOR SERIOUS! Matter can't be destoyed or created. and we all know E=MC2 so energy can't be destroyed or created!
So even if zombie ais magical like green lantern and not scientific like ais spiderman!

An simple test would be have to be conducted. at least three different zombies. preferably more. and of course a control. cut off the limb of a zombie. record how long movement occurs in the severed limb. if never, then zombie are magical but if that severed limb ceases movement. Im right and spiderman rools the skools.

with the Chair force science. Army goes rolling along over your theory!
