In no way am I going to pretend I don't speed. In fact, if I'm on the interstate I'm going a good bit over the speed limit. But, you better believe if/when I get a ticket and have some points on my license, it's definitely going to stop. In no way would I continue to speed knowing that another ticket could put me in jeopardy of losing my right to drive.
Everyone screws up at some point. The question is whether you learn your lesson before the consequences get severe. To the OP...don't do the crime if you can't do the time. The only reason I speed so much now is because I don't have any points on my license, and financially I'm in the position to pay the penalty if I get caught. Good luck.

I completely agree. In Texas, you can do defensive driving and get a ticket off your record, but only once once every 12 months. So, I speed and continue to speed responsibly (e.g. I'm not doing 90mph in neighborhoods). If I get a ticket, my speeding will stop as I don't need/want tickets on my driving record until I'm eligible for defensive driving again .

I would never say I don't drive above the limit, sometimes with traffic a good bit above (on freeways) but 30 years, no ticket, and I dont think you'd get a ticket if you were carrying someone to the ER - otherwise, you had your chances and you're just a slow learner.

The Judge told you if you received another ticket and you would loose your PRIVILEGE to drive and your dumba$$ went and ignored his warning and the multiple other speed violation tickets you got. You should have thought of that before you sped again but no... you didn't. Your job matters none in the respect of what you did. You deserve to loose your license and if that happens and your two feet or public transportation can't bring you to your job that's your fault and you deserve to loose that also.

You car payments, rent/mortgage and other bills you are about to forfeit on are your fault and your fault only. have fun loosing everything, you will get no symphony from me child! In fact, I hope you loose your car from this!!!

Dont go 95 in a 65 unless you are willing to accept the risk of getting caught, nuff said. As far as advice, public transportation still exists, as do carpools, etc, be creative or buy a bike and get on with work if you lose your license.

If you had a valid reason to be going that fast, you should have proved it to the cop when he pulled you over (aka your wife is on the floor having a heart attack and you're on the way to go save her... or you were punishing a ricer for being a ricer)

If you were cruising at 30 over (not that a LOT of people on here dont do that daily), you're asking to make a cop's day.
