License suspension

Don't know what the laws are where you are but I know here in Ohio alot of the time you can get "work privileges" while your license is suspended. All

Don't know what the laws are where you are but I know here in Ohio alot of the time you can get "work privileges" while your license is suspended. All this means is that your allowed to drive to and from work while your license is suspended. Just don't try and drive anywhere else while on "work privileges" cause if you get caught no more work privileges.

If you can't do the time then don't commit the crime.

here's a not mommy and daddy response

you should have bought a radar detector if you wanted to speed all the time.

With a good enough lawyer you should be able to avoid the suspension. it will cost you a lot though. you should at the very least be able to arrange some sort of provisonal lisence that allows you to only drive to and from work.

You should hear the story about the police escort on our way down to ZDayZ... I'll never live that one down.

P.S.S - this is the part where anyone who does speed and does it enough to have their license and livelyhood threatened don't go whining about it, or try coming up with an illegal scheme to get out of it.

I hope the OP works this out, I just am not convinced he's learned anything from it.

In no way am I going to pretend I don't speed. In fact, if I'm on the interstate I'm going a good bit over the speed limit. But, you better believe if/when I get a ticket and have some points on my license, it's definitely going to stop. In no way would I continue to speed knowing that another ticket could put me in jeopardy of losing my right to drive.
Everyone screws up at some point. The question is whether you learn your lesson before the consequences get severe. To the OP...don't do the crime if you can't do the time. The only reason I speed so much now is because I don't have any points on my license, and financially I'm in the position to pay the penalty if I get caught. Good luck.

I completely agree. In Texas, you can do defensive driving and get a ticket off your record, but only once once every 12 months. So, I speed and continue to speed responsibly (e.g. I'm not doing 90mph in neighborhoods). If I get a ticket, my speeding will stop as I don't need/want tickets on my driving record until I'm eligible for defensive driving again .

Lawyer up and try to work out a provisional work license like JeffBlue said. That's going to be your best bet.

Good luck and drive safe.

Some reading info? If and when your lic is suspended I would look into a provisional lic so you can drive to work or back in the event that your state allows that. I don't know if this will help but I tried
