Why do people cover their license plate when taking pics??

Paranoia and privacy. Other folks put pix of my car and plates up, and it upsets me. But when I post pix, unless it's a custom tag, I blur out

And this is all I'm saying on this subject, since I've already faced verbal abuse repeatedly on this site for defending my position.
