I always looked at the nismo model as being a bit overpriced for what you got, it is nice and exclusive. I always look at things such as that I could upgrade myself and get better for the same money, but who knows.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm typically "that guy" who pays a little extra for the nameplate (z06, ws6, ss, gt, so on), but I don't know if it's ever really been worth it ... well, maybe the z06.

i view the nismo variant as a good overall package with a lot of bang for buck compared to the compeition. my friend has one and i've put as many miles on it as he has (~3k right now). are there better parts out there for less? yes but with the nismo you get a car that's a decent car to drive daily and still track it on the weekends with a factory warranty on all the parts, hard to argue with that. yes you do have to pay for the exclusivity though. or you could find one, like my friend, with 400 miles on it and pay $10k less than sticker (no it wasn't wrecked either)
