I "slept in" until 9...lol. Went to 1/4 mile track last night, did not do very good, but it was my first time ever. Only had two good runs out of four, but in the end it was a lot of fun. Just will not go back unless it is cooler and it has not rained everyday for the past week so the bugs are less.

Yep, first time I raced on the quarter mile. Have been to a few events before, my best time was 14.3, one of the issues I had with the place was you hit both staged lights and your three yellows went instantly and no time to get your car really "ready" and "set."
My last run of the night I had a good launch, tires spun a bit to much in first and second so I only ran a 14.9, but also it was 4 runs later and the car was just pumping hot air into the intakes.

You know, I was more nervous in the waiting line then went I hit the staging line. My one issue I had was how little time I really get to set before I go, but I know more of what to do now and such so next time I will be better.

Once you go and do consistent runs you try improving with mods that way you see if they really help and if you can? get a extra set of rims and buy some dot cheater slicks so your not spinning so much out the box.
