Okay finally home, it was a 6 hour ordeal! Once we finally got in things went fairly quickly, but she had to have blood work, see the doc and then get the ultrasound and then have that sent to a radiologist to look at the results.
The final result? They don't know what's wrong with her. It does not appear to be appendicitis, but the only conclusive way is to get a CT scan which is terrible for you and is very expensive. So after the rest of the tests looked okay we decided that she probably wouldn't die tonight and we'd evaluate her pain over the next day or two and if necessary get the CT scan. Thanks a lot for the warm wishes and kind thoughts. She knows I spend a fair amount of time here, but didn't realize some of us know each other pretty damn well. Catch you guys some time tomorrow. |

no wheels still...
Tin, I hope your wife is doing a lot better than last night. It's always scary to hear a doctor say he/she doesn't know what is going on!

I remember going to the ER for some bad abdominal pain, they ran tests and didn't find anything and just sent me home. It wasn't my appendix, that thing is long gone. 3 weeks later my doctor checks my blood again after numerous other tests and turns out I had a bacterial infection. 2 months later I start feeling a little bit normal again. I have never been the same since then. So they may not know what's wrong w/ her initially but eventually something will show up on the tests.
