we replaced it with new insulation, a lot of it... we also install baffles so the insulation doesnt touch the roof itself. it's temp job.... maybe later on in the fall or next spring when the attic isnt boiling hot... i need to remove all existing insulation and put in modern stuff.... when i opened the insulation bag in the attic... i was expecting it to triple in size b/c it's compressed right?? instead.... it became so huge i stepped back and you know what happens when you step back in an attic.............. Not a horrible amount, but just enough of a dry summer to make last years tiny leak, into a larger leak once the new rains came back. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.
