Yeah. One thing I will say-- if you're looking for a workout, go cheap. You may be able to ride a lighter bike for far longer, but with a heavier bike, you'll burn far more calories as more effort is required.

hm interesting.. yeah i know nothing about bikes.. i mean i used to take em apart when i was younger.. but those were easy.

ive always wanted to get into it but never really had money.

and i would love riding for 45+ miles that would be awesome

They're pretty common. Most professionals ride carbon bikes.

I've really only touched the tip of the iceberg as far as bikes go. I was starting to get into it last year, then it got too cold to ride. I really didn't ride much at all this year, though. I want to get back into riding. Maybe next year.
