it sucks hot air, without cold air reaching it won't make much of an improvement. I expected a little gain though

I do not think it was the fact it was pulling hot air, the A/F ratio is over 1 which means there is no way I could gain power. If I could balance it out back to stock with the same intake (Takeda) I am sure there would be a few HP gain, but I need a tune to do that.

that should have been tuned by the tubing diameter of the intake. If it is causing your A/F ratios to become more rich, they didn't do their research/testing.

Yep, also I am not trying to defend these things, I would not buy them again, but they are on and will stay for the time until I figure some things out with what is going on.

+rep for the intiative to order and do the testing on these things!
Hopefully you can figure something out that will give you increases with the setup.

Maybe, but from seeing these (SRI) and others similar I think that if you want gains without a tune you have to go Stillen or maybe the new Injen system. Will a tune help? Maybe, but I definitely am not going to bet on it.
