It was only a matter of time unfortunately.

I don't believe any other members acted in the same manner as those two did.

Oh, hey, I just read up that shumby and nogood got banned after I went to sleep last night. I hadn't seen the bailout-fail thread, that was pretty sad. It was also two weeks old - bet shumby and nogood were unpleasantly surprised.
But yeah, cutting up threads like that is BS. |

*sigh*
I thought we were all doing things 'different' in this forum. It's sad to see things digress to the point where people are getting banned. On another note, I'm always down for good baklawa... |

I think the moderators are clamping down as early as they can on the goofy stuff, to keep this place from degenerating. So, there will be bans early, but not often, I hope.
I only know of one car forum that self-polices so well that bans are unheard-of. It's a MINI forum in Dallas (metroplexmini.org). To a person, all of the members there have hearts of gold. They do spend far more time talking about lifestyles than about the cars themselves, but overall it's a nice forum to visit. |

They were given a little time off by onethreefive. It's a short temp ban and they will be back. We ARE doing things a little different in our forums. We want all our members to be respectful to each other. We do not want our new members to think one can harass a member and get away with it. It encourages them to do the same and from there, it's all downhill!

^ still, you don't ban members who have been more active than mods themselves.. you PM them warnings.. delete their posts etc.. but ban them?
a decision taken a little too fast IMO

to the mods. I wasn't questioning the moderators decision to ban them, and I meant no disrespect. I was simply suggesting that the fact that people were getting banned meant that some of the postings had relapsed into that "stuff" we have all seen on other forums, and that we were trying to avoid. I remember a thread a while back discussing how different everyone on th370z was.... and ironically I remember Shumby posting about how he felt the same way, after being berated on other forums by less mature folks. You stay classy, the370z |
