I also hate the heat, I lived in St Louis for a while and it's much worse there. Some nights in the summer it never gets below 75. Sometimes we ran the A/C for weeks without ever turning it off. Sure glad we have central A/C in our new house, and a back up generator too.

I think even a POS KIA will go beyond 110k before it needs new rings. Of course by then the car is worthless anyway.

It's on average between 110-120* here... It doesnt even drop below 100* until midnightish...

i got cemtral ac on all summer, recently my expansion valve broke, 350 smackers to fix it

What is your monthly electric bill? Ours last month was $66! And that includes our water since we're on a well.

Eff that! I lived in New Mexico when I was in the Air Force and the hottest I ever saw was 115, very dry though and I loved the T'stms in the summer!

60 for electricity (hydro)
not bad

in winters, i use natural gaz, up to 200
