bah, that doesn't tell me the type of aluminum. but it's flow formed, which (according to the site) means castings. i guess i can assume A356 material properties...maybe A357, but dunno.
but i've read into the anneal temperatures for that particular material, and it goes at around 325°F. since you say they're running 450°F, even if it's only an hour, there's definitely a chance that the material will degrade in terms of fatigue life of the wheel. so doing it three times is not helping the longevity of your wheels... BUT THIS IS ALL MY OWN CONJECTURE. not tryin' to scare you or nothin'. EDIT: i'm hella slow when i think about engineering, hahahaha. belated post. |
