I'm no engineer, or even a gearhead, so I could be way out of line, but:
If they actually provide the same horse as the g3, it's not because it's getting cooler air from down below like the G3, it's getting it by sucking more air. So we would have to ask ourselves why it's sucking more air, which could be the angles or size of the pipes, the surface area of the filter (less likely), or the filtration rate. I don't believe it's the first two, so my thoughts go to filtration. Less filtration = increased air intake. Unfortunately, that also means more junk into your engine.

K&N for example claims to be 99% as efficient as a stock filter. While 1% doesn't sound like jack shit, over the life of a 150K mile car, that could be HUGE.

Or is that a bug shield of some sort? And also, with the intakes blocking/sucking air in front of the radiator, does that effect it's efficiency at all? Less air going through = less heat transfer?
I was wondering the exact same thing. I really don't like the idea of having a good portion of the radiator blocked, especially with some engines prone to overheating.

I really like the looks of this one a lot better. Does the G37 model fit our cars? It doesn't say on their website. And how much is it?

Average person keeps a car 8 years, would you hit 150k in that time frame?

I don't like the look of the Stillens. I am interested in the R2Cs.

Me either, I've had several that needed to be cleaned and occasionally I'd put too much oil on there and foul the MAF.

i would assume they fit because the engine bay is exactly the same

from the radiator the the firewall, it's the same.

radiator to bumper is different, which is why the Stillen Gen 3 arent the same model# for both cars.
