I have finished all my basics, and have plenty of extra credits worth nothing, a couple more years and I am done if I stick to my plan, whatever it may be.

I don't know. I'm not too satisfied with the paddle shifters. Been bugging me I didn't go with a stick. I always drive stick, and I'm always annoyed when I hit traffic. So I thought an auto would be the way to go, but I feel like a using those paddles.

I like the feeling that I'm driving the car, a feeling I seem to be lacking in the auto.
Plus, there is a weird thing with the paddles. In theory, if you want to downshift a couple gears and floor it, you can. However, with a manual, you always know what gear you're in by where your hand is. You don't have to look. But when I want to downshift with the paddles, I have to look at the display and actually see what gear I'm in. When you need to downshift in a hurry, that second you waste looking cost you a lot. AND, the car downshifts itself at around 1800 rpm, which is exactly where I tend to downshift. So what happens is me and the car both downshift at the same time, and we go down 2 gears instead of 1. It's maddening. |
