Yea, I just switched to Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit myself from Xp. So far I am liking it, I really wanted to run the 64 bit, but I cannot find any drivers for my old scanner.

I will be in the wait and see mode on this one. I love 7, hated Vista, loved XP, stayed briefly in Milln, liked 98, lliked 95, thought 3.1 was clunky, never really like DOS, have not ever used MAC.

P.S. THe rumor in the IT industry is that Mac/Apple OS will be heavily targeted by Malware and Virii this year and next.

No silly. Steve Jobs says Mac's don't get viruses or malware. He wouldn't lie to us.

i like how it looks, def looks interesting an refreshing. But don't understand why they used html5 and javascript when microsoft should be .NET

wilsonp 06-03-2011 05:13 PM

It does support Silverlight, which is .Net based, and possibly the future of the .Net runtime as well, but I agree adding HTML5/Javascript doesn't make much sense to me in the Windows world.

It probably has to deal with it being an OS that's supposed to run on tablets and smartphones as well. Having it as internet friendly as possible for those devices would be a must.

Correct, there will be plenty of Silverlight in Windows 8 but for this interface it will be HTML5 mostly with Java.
I am sure once the other videos are up we will see more.
