Dealership woes...

So my splash guards came in today, so I'm pretty stoked to get 'em put on. The sales guy drives off in my car, it's gonna take about an hour. I get my car back and there are gun metallic splash guards on my Pearl white Z. FAIL!
:shakes head:

I ask them to take them off and politely requested they order the right color. They tell me it's going to be 1hr+30min to take them off because of workload; I don't have hat kind of patients at this point. Needless to say, I'm driving around with a multicolored Z. FML!

Oh yeah, it took like three weeks for the wrong ones to come in.

PDiddy 05-27-2011 07:48 PM

Order from vendors here is a lot cheaper and got mine in 1 week.

tjlazer 05-27-2011 09:02 PM

Um, thats why you do easy stuff like that yourself. Less headaches and $.

How much did they charge you for the install?

Rone 05-27-2011 09:20 PM

it was all free. They didn't make me pay for illuminated sills, carpets, trunk mat or splash guards, but the splash guards weren't on the car when I bought it.

Rone 05-27-2011 09:22 PM

I don't even want to drive my car. Sounds silly, but I really don't. Me and the wife are car pooling next week, lol.

I know sh!t happens, it's just annoying when it happens to me.

:shakes head:

Are those techs freaking stupids or color blind? :shakes head: :shakes head:

MyZ4U2C 05-27-2011 10:46 PM

sounds ridiculous that they even went through with installing them? guess they were hoping you dont give a chit? :shakes head:

007MI6 05-27-2011 10:50 PM

:iagree: WTF?

Thats the same thing I was thinking. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt; maybe they, as the techs, thought that is what the customer(me) wanted. Oh well, you win some and you lose some, lol.

flashburn 05-28-2011 08:01 AM

Just unscrew them and pull off the double sided tape.

didymus 05-28-2011 08:56 AM

Pics? Amazing they didn't think before putting them on lol

I'll let them deal with all that when the right ones come in. I don't want to ruin anything and give them a reason not to fix it. No money is coming out of my pocket so I'm going to remain cordial and keep my cool.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic :ughdance:

Sometimes I walk past it and get annoyed all over again, and other times I see them and think to myself, "It could almost work." LOL

LOL. I blame sales, not the technicians. For all the techs know, that could have been what I wanted.

frost 05-30-2011 09:41 PM

Hopefully you don't trust that place to do any real work. I wouldn't even get my oil changed there after that display of incompetence.

They deserve it when they do something like this.

frost 05-31-2011 07:29 PM

If they were black, it would actually be kind of cool ... but I don't like that.

didymus 05-31-2011 07:46 PM

That looks awful haha.

Also your dog might kill you in your sleep

If you are a salesmen and you take offense to this, I sincerely apologize. I was merely venting my frustration. I like my sales guy, we're both orgionally from the same city, but I don't care if you are friend or foe, if you do something crazy imma call you out.

And let people bitch about gas prices all they want, that just means there will be more open road for us :happydance:

Rone 06-21-2011 05:14 PM

For those who were keeping track of the time, I just got the correct splash guards installed. When I called yesterday to get the status, they said they are on back order, then, they said an order was never place. When I told them After this weekend I'll be gone for 6 months and if they couldn't get it by then I'm coming down there to get my money back (I don't think I paid for them anyway), they magically found a set, so my wife took the car in today to have them installed.

b1adesofcha0s 06-21-2011 05:17 PM

Those sneaky bastards. Anyway, congrats on finally getting it fixed

Waiz 06-21-2011 07:32 PM

Let's hope they aren't red this time!
