It's a workout DVD thing. It actually works I've been on it for a couple of months. I've had to buy two belts since then and my muscle tone is noice!! If I do have to say so myself.

I started it at the weight of 268. I weigh probably about the same but my fat has decreased and my muscle mass is where I can wear a muscle shirt and not be embarrassed. I'm also taking a whey protein from GNC.

I did Insanity instead. I needed to shed body fat first and increase my metabolism, before I tried going for muscle. Don't get me wrong I still put some muscle on but it's more lean muscle.

I went from 195lbs to 165lbs in 60 days. Lost 4.5" off my waist.
I was sitting at 10% body fat for a while, but I am sure I went up a little since I am not working out as hard. But I am still at 166lbs and haven't done insanity in 3 weeks.

Programs like this work, but you have to want it. If you following the diet and excercise program to the tee, you will see amazing results.

Yeah it's all about the attitude! The diet was the hardest for me. I had to take in 3800 calories. But when your diet consist of tuna, protein shakes, and chicken breast. It's kinda hard to take in that many calories but my metabolism has increased immensely. I eat like 7-8 times a day but there all snacks or small meals. I don't drink sodas no candy no sweets. I do cheat once inawhile though.

I hear ya. I was eating 5 times a day. 2200 calories and it was all protein.

But it works, keep it up!

I'm in the middle of week 11 of 13. I'm doing the classic program. Not following the diet plan closely though, just eating sensibly (smaller portion sizes, heathier, cut down on sugars, etc). I lost about 13 lbs at peak, but I can tell I've gained a fair bit of muscle. Shirts feel different...tighter in the arms and chest, looser in the waist. I feel great. Push ups are so much easier. The other day I had to look underneath the car and I had my work clothes on but didn't want to go change and then come back out. So I just dropped down to chatturanga position, to look for what I needed and came back up...piece of cake. Who said there's no practical application for Chatturanga? LOL!

I plan on doing round two right away but this time going with the lean program to help shed more weight. Eventually I'd like to try P90X+ and Insanity. P90X2 is coming out at the end of the year as well.

Just like what Tony says, "Just keep pressing play". Keep it up!

I did it for 4 weeks, but I found out that I was just getting weaker and loosing muscle, I guess it's good for somebody that doesn't exercise regularly. now some people are going to say that I was not doing it right and my diet was not set up properly, but all I have to say is that I've been working out for 13 years and I wanted to mix it up with p90x, so I dropped my weight training and got on the p90x program and I just felt like crap everyday, I was loosing fat, but I was also loosing muscle. pretty much every workout program you do will work if your diet is on point and that's all there is to it, it's all about calories in vs calories out, meaning in order to loose weight you have to burn more calories than you take in. anyways after doing p90x for 4 weeks and not getting the results that I wanted, I got off of it and got back into my regular workout routine and right now I'm where I want to be as far as fitness goes, here is a picture of me now, with p90x you'll never get this big, I don't mean to sound cocky, but that's just my experience with p90x

I don't think you sound cocky.
It's not for everyone. But I think if you have no idea how to eat, and work out, it's a great program for that guy/girl looking to get into seriously working out and eating right.

I don't think I would ever want arms the size of yours, but I am happy with the results I received from Insanity. I was out of shape and 30 lbs over weight. I lost 30lbs in 60 days and can run 5 miles like it's nothing. But I wasn't going for muscle mass. I want to go more lean. But isn't PX more of using your own body weight? I can see if you are used to free weights and switching to just your own body weight for a work out , you can lose muscle quick .

Anyway, I don't think it's one size fits all is my point.

P90x I would say is mostly cardio, ya you get sore nut you won't be gaining muscle from it. If you want to loose fat and gain muscle just get a good weight lifting program going instead as weight lifting will speed your metabolism up for a longer amount of time than cardio as long as your doing it intensly. As far as the supplements go (saw a few people mention it) I would say stay off that crap you can easily get the same results and better without any of that in your body.

Don't give me wrong It's a good program and it will challenge you and If you want to get tone and loose weight then it's perfect, I think the reason I was loosing muscle is because my muscles were used to heavy lifting and the lifting I was doing on the p90x was not challenging my muscles enough, now for somebody new to fitness you will build muscle because your body will be challenged by the lifting that you do here and your muscles have no choice but to grow.

This might be true but it depends on your goals. If you want to get huge and bulk up just eat tons of food, lift very heavy weights 3-4 times a week and use some steroids. It's a pretty simple formula.

Your cardio will also suck, your athleticism will be crappy, and your strength will not be functional. I am not ripping on you, because to be honest you look very muscular and in good shape, but most of the big guys at the gym who do their best to get huge and are always panting and out of breath after every set in the gym.

I compete in MMA and I used to weight train bodybuilding style. Bodybuilding it's 'pretty boy' muscle, which means it looks nice but is useless when competing in a lot of sports. I can't tell you how many guys who have tons of muscle on me, I can submit in under a minute because they gass out so fast.

P90x not that unsimilar to how many MMA athletes train with short explosive circuits and active recovery between sets. It is the BEST way to increase overall health, but you are right, it will never make you get huge and muscular, which I don't think it the goal of P90x, but may be misleading because all of their Male models on TV are juiced up fitness competitors who do a lot of bodybuilding training on the side.

You can expect THIS type of physique from a P90X/MMA routine, which I think is much more functional, much faster, and much more practical. But again it all depends on your goals, your diet, and your dedication.
