A lot of companies (like Oakley) now let you pick many styles and then will make the lenses to fit your prescription you require. I think you pay a little extra, but you can have almost anything.

I always just ask my girlfriend if she is there, otherwise, if I'm at a sunglass store/stand and there is a female working there, I'll ask her. Chicks will tell you what looks best on you, and they are usually right.

It's not really up to Oakley. My brother is an Optometrist and sells eyeglasses as well. He can put prescription in any frames you want.
(He made a pair of Oakleys for himself and it cost him about $30). Eyeglasses are marked up ridiculously high and if they have a "name" they're even higher. Most frames are marked up around 1000%.

Dwight Frye 05-19-2011 06:48 PM

Serengeti Drivers. Or, the original Rayban G-15's lenses in the frame style of your choice. You are driving the equivalent of a fighter plane and knucklehead, inattentive drivers are your ME-109's and Zeros. Might as well wear shades designed for such conditions. And look like a cool old dude:tiphat:

I just recently started wearing contacts because I was getting tired of the battle between my eyeglasses and sunglasses. It's great now, I can see when it's bright out (football, baseball games and such).

I've always been a cheap guy when it comes to sun glasses. I just like super dark glasses.

Polarized & Fit So NICELY!

Rooster89 12-09-2011 02:12 AM

I have ambered, polarized shooting glasses. 25 bucks from a gun store, it increases contrasts so you can more clearly and also is polarized. Plus they are ballistically rated.

Also I like putting on one pair of shades for driving then not having to take them off and change them at the range. Honestly the increased contrasts have helped me out on more than one occasion. But I prefer practicality over fashion.

sboden 12-09-2011 04:05 AM

I have this RayBan....had my last RayBan for just over 10 years before I dropped and broke them.

Practicality always wins for me. but hell, I also have driving gloves. and those went out of style sometime in the 90s.

Anything with polarized lenses

eastwest2300 12-12-2011 09:34 PM

I use to sell sunglasses a few years back, and I think the best sunglasses out there are Maui Jims, Revo, and Serengettis.

Z RATED OKC 12-14-2011 06:02 PM

I have two pairs of sunglasses. One Oakley and one Rayban. :icon17: I mostly wear my Oakley Antix polorized.

Polorized is important IMO for a pair of driving glasses.

MC 12-15-2011 02:38 AM

Oakley Antix are my Favorite sunglasses by far...i have a pair of matte black ones and wear them every day
