Maybe its a good thing. Now you guys got something in common, could invoke more chit chat, improve relationship, and also a chance to get him into modding :)

I paid slightly under invoice for my '11. Could have done better but I wanted a specific model and was willing to pay more for it (had to be shipped). I don't really care that I could have saved a few hundred $ because in the end it means little to nothing. If $500 makes or breaks the car for you it probably isn't the best purchase to make at this point in your life.

Just curious...what did you pay?

unfortunately for me, i dont think it was a few hundred bucks. I went thru a friend at the dealer and foolishly assumed too much in that i would have hoped he would have given me a fair deal considering its a 2010 and it would have to be driven here from ~70miles away. 30900 before TTL. Also considering they have a black cherry 2010 MT sport model in the lot since december that is priced at ~35-36k. That was more than i wanted to spend but even being my "friend" he gave me the run around saying Zs don't really have incentives to move even last years models and all that junk so i figured there just wasn't much room to bargin. Especially considering we were friends, i trusted it. Maybe I'm wrong but i def feel like for a base it should have been maybe 3-4k cheaper

I don't know about getting 3-4k off the $30,900 price. You mentioned before that you're upset about the price you paid but you paid it. What does that have to do with your boss getting the same car? Because he can swing a better deal because he has more experience? The Internet gives you all kinds of resources to find out information. Instead of putting your faith in a buddy try to pave your own path. If you want to get ahead in life you have to do your own work. There's my tough love speech for the day. :tiphat:

I checked online and it looks like invoice on your car was $29,754. You shouldn't have paid more than invoice no matter what. The dealer still makes $ off you at invoice.

Life isn't over. You've got a f-ing cool Z to drive to work every day! Your boss will probably get auto and then you can race him.

Oh wait...nevermind. The 7AT is faster. :happydance:

Don't worry about the prices other people paid, it will eat you up inside. Plus, these prices can vary by a couple of thousand depending on where you live. In San Diego, dealers don't have problems finding someone to buy them at sticker price. You got a 370Z man! Go drive by a school and see how the kids react when you drive by =)

It's all good. You have an instant edge over everyone else that works there.

You should have called into work, saying your car is acting up and you have to take it in. Then, every day after that, make sure to whine about what new craptacular problem your car has that day. Plenty of bitch threads in these forums to pull that info from. Oil running hot, high pitched squeal, hatch won't open, no low end torque, gas gauge not accurate, parking brake is too weak, VDC sucks, no rear speakers, crappy paint, and so on...

I mean, who would want a car like that?
