How much do you think this racetrack will sell for?

CB Richard Ellis - Honda Test Track | Cantil, CA

I was reading about how the former Honda Proving Ground was for sale and was wondering how much something like that would sell for. It will be sad if it's bought for something else besides the tracks and they tear it all up.

No purchase price has been set, but offers of between $10 million and $25 million “are within the range of what we are considering,” said Jeff Andrew, a spokesman for CB Richard Ellis

If I had won the last mega millions this track would be mine.

It will probably just get bulldozed and turned into an apartment complex for aging hippies.

But if somebody smart would buy it all they have to do is put a cash register in the front and they've got a finished race track complex, on and off-road.
Although the fact that it's in California would probably make it damn near impossible to have it open to the public either due to excessive costs and/ or ridiculous legislation.

I wish I could buy it, I wonder what it would really cost to operate.

Probably not as much as you might think; pavement lasts a long time in desert environments, but it would be hard to maintain all the builds and service stations spread across that entire property.

That is amazing though, I would buy it in a heart beat and make it a private 370z track where only the370z members could run for free. :tiphat:

Yeah that's what I was thinking, there are allot of things that would make it very appealing, and I think easy to turn it into a fully functioning race track or club. But they might be high maintenance, they just opened a race track not far from my house, it's more of a resort really. It looks like a Really nice place and the track looks fun as hell. But it's a private club and stupid expensive, but if you can get people with that kind of income to join it would be easy to run a place like that. I just don't know in being in CA would make it more difficult since they have so many more options out there. Here that is the only place to go and you have a private track basically.
