i heard a study that was saying an ideal person's circle of 'meaningful friends' hovers around 50 people. supposedly there's another site being built that limits you to 50 friends / network connections / whatever you want to call them. my fbook account just sits there...if people want to write me something i'll respond, but generally i don't write something in my status unless i'm REAAAALLY wored. amusingly enough some people respond to fbook messages more than answering their phones or texts.
