they're saying their last ditch option is to vent a reasonable and safe amount of radioactive vapor into the air...wow.

Andrew, thank you for the link.

Please give what you can.

I've sent a donation to the Red Cross, I might send some more later -- I wish I could directly help though. That video of the tsunami sweeping across farmland really has stuck in my head. There was one truck that just was swept away, I'm not even sure he saw it coming. :(

YouTube - ?23???????????????????????

Jesus. Huge explosion about 1:45 in.

Also, I'd like to take a moment and thank you guys. I'm bouncing around between a lot of forums/communities and I've seen a lot of trolling and stuff around some of them -- yet this place seems to be immune. I think that speaks volumes about the kind of community we have here, and it makes me proud to be a Z owner.

I think they're saying that to get public acceptance before completely killing the power plant... otherwise possibly a decade of not being able to rebuild the reactors which can bring serious reprecussins for restoring the area....

I suppose the wind condition is ideal as it appears to be blowing into the ocean.

Be careful when donating, there is a lot of people out there that will take advantage of situation like this!

The Red Cross is my choice!

of course everybody should be careful when donating. that's why i posted the red cross link, it's the only one i absolutely trust.

Very sad what happened. I am hoping someone from the Red Cross will approach me for a donation in person/at the store or whatever, as I am not into giving up CC#'s and whatnot to "charity agencies". Call me gullible, but I trust someone decked out representing the local Red Cross agency much more than a website. Although, if noone approaches me, probably will go to official link.

That being said, Japan more than deserves our help. They were quite charitable when Katrina hit us. Turn about is fair play. I belive in helping those who help others.

one of the reactors had a explosion and is leaking hard.
