Im visiting cali for 8 days at the end of the month, what should I do
Going with the mrs... never been to the west coast...
I am renting a car through my buddy at enterprise.. hopefully getting something nice as I asked for a luxury car, I'm hoping for something that handles... but besides that I need some ideas on what we can do... I'm visiting old friends in Redondo beach, but am not limiting myself on where I am staying... haven't booked any rooms yet and plan to just play it by ear... If anyone wants to rent me there Z for a day LMK id love to beat the hell out of it on some canyons, lol... but for real, I appreciate any ideas... other than going to a Laker game and her wanting to go to hollywood im clueless on what to do. |
I recommend the Japanese BBQ place called Anjin in Costa Mesa. It's my favorite restaurant. No reservations though, so you should get there around 5 PM or 10 PM for no wait. Otherwise, it's usually a 2 hour wait. You can drop by Stillen beforehand since it's very close by.

sounds like a plan... will do that one night... maybe stillen will give me a complementary supercharger kit for traveling across the country just to visit them lol |
Lot's to do in LA.
I'm born and Raised in NYC but been out here since 2003. Here are some things to see... Malibu - take the Amazing Ocean view drive up PCH. Venice Beach - The Beach and the eccentrics, A great place to people watch. Lot's of food and sidewalk merchants selling unique crap. Santa Monica - 3rd street promenade... Walk the trafficless blocks for Shopping and restaurants. Check out the Beach and Amusement park on the boardwalk. Hollywood - Sleazy and Dirty, The way LA oughta be. Check out Mann's theatre. Hit up Sunset strip, there are some cool famous bars there and Comedy Clubs. Saddle back ranch for Dinner and the Mechanical Bull. The OC baby... Huntington Beach and Newport Beach. LBC - Long Beach Aquarium. Cool place not far from where you are staying. There are also Whale Watching boat tours. Catalina Island... A small beautiful Island off of Long Beach... You take the ferry to get there. Nice scenery, shops and restaurants, Taxis are the only cars on the island... And don't forget In n Out Burger... Best Fast Food ever. Have Fun. |
thanks man... rep given to you two!
|
Here any other ideas?
|
x2 for In n Out.
Check out Universal Citywalk And the Griffith Park Observatory at night will provide an amazing view of LA... |
you in so cal?
- Find local korean ribs - Go to Roscoes Chicken and waffle - Go to pinks hot dog |
im sure we can all give you a list of the best places to eat lol
|
honda-ya is a better japanese restaurant :rofl2:
what kinda food you like, we can make great lists based on that alone haha i agree on a PCH MORNING drive. which is beautiful, and not crowded. catalina island is overrated imo, and a waste, unless u want to B&B on the island as well. i love santa monica, the pier and promenade are a lot of fun, even if ur just walking around. lots of sights and sounds. |

Maybe you can visit Paris Hilton and her new yellow LFA.
Korean BBQ is killer over on the west coast. That's my first suggestion. |
Haha thanks fella's. I'm staying on pch by Redondo beach where old friends live. Saw a black 370 at Disney land today parked in the garage. Only one so far tho. Crazy how many nice cars are out here. NY has it's
Share but out here is even crazier. I'm gonna do pch around sunrise one morning and take the camera for some nice shots. Too bad no Z to photograph :-(. Dodge charger rental isn't picture Worthy. |
Saw a sweet yellow 458 Italia parked on playa de Rey road. Thing is ridiculous ...
