Anyone see the new Modified magazine???

In the new Issue towards the back there is a Tech Proving Grounds article where they dyno a 2010 G37 Sedan 6MT stock, then install MotorDyne Advance Rseonance Test Pipes and with a tune they make 336WHP and almost 278WTQ. Anyone see these as kind of high numbers?? Especially the torque, I wish I made almost 278WTQ. Even stock the car put down 308whp and 264WTQ. What do you guys think?

On the "right" dyno, you can see whatever numbers you want.

:iagree:
Remember these magazine's have to make the products that are given to them like it's the best thing to get! I doubt that's the right numbers on a mustang dyno. But because that was the first mod and a tune I can see 20/15 gain. Not that much though! That list of mods is definetly missing an intake and catback exhaust. :ugh2:
If these gains are real I'm selling my stillen hfc and getting motordyne rofl.
Doubt it!

Uh huh.

That 308 baseline is about 10 to 12% higher than what you typically see, so there you go.

Don't be seduced by the raw numbers; they are bullsh!t.

According to the article the car was bone stock

This thread is only 1 month old, I'll resurrect it. The ART pipes are supposed to show decent gains over the already aftermarket test pipes. Supposedly resonance tuning makes good power over standard test pipes. They also sound better.

With that said, those numbers are extremely high. Dynos should be used as an estimation of power output, and should be taken lightly. If there is track evidence to prove it, then so be it. Dynos are much better utilized when comparing before/after results of mods. I wish I would've dyno'd stock and could compare to what I make now.

I prefer the Buffalo University Torque Tester dyno, or BUTT for short.
