This is where all my mod money is going, but she is worth it. The thingy on the side is to drain the fluid out, very weird.
Sorry don't mean to bum anyone out, just looking for some positive energy.

Thanks
I know it's a real tought time for you right now but you just gotta be positive and just do all you can for her. Cars, clothes, money can never be compared to a friend/family member and I am sure she will pull through this!

I think its great that she can depend on you guys to love her and do all you can to help her. In the end they depend on us for everything and its great to see her getting such love and caring at such a difficult time in her life, not everyone would be so devoted. Try to stay positive and hopeful. you guys will be in my thoughts and I hope she makes a full recovery and enjoys the best years of her life and brings many more great memories.

Poor dog!

I know dogs have a high percentage of cancer, but I've honestly never heard of dogs getting breast cancer before. I'm just glad it was operable and that she makes a full recovery.

Best wishes Daisy.

Yes they are huskys, the red one we adopted, she had been run over. her hip was crushed, she only has one half of her hips, they made a socket out of the muscle for the other side, and her leg was broken badly. she was discovered injured and taken to a pound where she was to be euthanized. Siberian Husky rescue of florida found her before she got put down and took her. we agreed to adopt her and she went through alot of surgeries. her rear knee does not bend and of course her hip area is fragile, she will probably need a doggy wheelchair later in life. but shes a wild one so she doesn't realize she cannot play rough, etc. She has been the greatest dog, so happy to have a home, never been a problem at all. shes got tons of personality and is feisty (probably from the time she spent in the big house.lol) I have had her 6 years now. The other we got as a puppy, and he is spoiled as can be, grumpy and demanding. lol. hes a character but I love him to death.

funny story, I got him in 1998. was trying to think of a name for him, saw Nick Saban on TV coaching Michigan State and liked the name "Saban". I named him Saban and low and behold LSU hired Nick Saban two years later. Of course now Saban moved on but I still have my dog and don't mind the name. I am not one of those that hates a coach who moved on. why would I? I hated bama enough before they hired LSUs old coach.

But Huskies in Florida have a tough time. people get them because of their looks and then find out how much attention and time they demand, and how destructive they can be when bored, and give them up. I will only rescue dogs from now on. My wife and I have no kids so our dogs are a huge part of our daily lives, plus we never make them leave the air conditioning unless they want to. haha. it gets hot down here.

Here's both of my APBTs Roxy and Diego.

Roxy, she's almost two years old and weighs 84lbs.

Diego, I took this pic when I barely got him. He's 21lbs in this pic, he now weighs 44lbs.

Here's both of them looking at a cat on the other side of the fence.

I've had pitbulls all of my life and not once have they showed aggression towards me or any other person. The only time they show aggression is towards cats and other dogs. But they love humans. I've always said if you raise a pitbull like a regular family dog, that's what he'll be. Now if you neglect it and just leave it in the yard, then expect to have problems with it. I love my pitbulls .

Here's my first pitbull Psycho. I had him for 5 years before he died about 2 years ago. My uncle left the gate open by accident, and I found him under a tree the next morning. I'm sure he was hit by a car and just walked until he couldn't anymore. I cried like a little baby when I saw him. He was such a great dog, I still miss him.

Thanks guys for all your kind words, some people just don't understand how close you can become to your pets, they really are like family. This was her second surgery, the first one they didn't get it all and it came back. So we went to a specialist and I think the did a real thorough job. We have some Chemo treatments as a follow up for about 6 weeks and then keeping our fingers crossed. I'm afraid if it comes back again, we wont be able to do much for her. She seams pretty strong right now, back to her old self, as soon as the fridge opens, she's right there Daisy is such a food hound, she will eat anything and everything. One time I ordered a pizza and went outside to get something out of the garage, when I came in she was on the kitchen table, had ripped through the box and ate half of the pizza She must of thought that I ordered a Puperoni pizza Another time I woke up in the middle of the night b/c I heard some rustling going on, I turned the light on to find Daisy with a box of Cheezit's stuck on her head. Apparently she stuck her head in the box and ate what was left in there, and couldn't figure out how to get her head back out, so she was running around banging into stuff, it was hilarous.

My sophie-cat has a thing for donuts, and she got smarter about it over time. First you had to close the box so she couldn't get in, then you had to reseal the tabs so she couldn't get in, now it's just eat them before she does. Last I heard, she can get a fully closed box open without even having to knock it on the floor like she use to when it was seal up.
She's a crafty one.

Yeah We had 2 sister cats - Charlie & Rose. Rose was a real tiger and I loved her to bits (she used to fetch stuff, just like a dog). She'd see off any cat in town. Woke up one morning, opened the back door and there she was, stiff as a board. Having been run over she'd managed to make it back to the house and just died on the doorstep. I was gutted and tbh I've not wanted a cat since then.

Billie, our current cat, died this week too. So Arthur the lizard is on his own now! Sad post!

I feel the pain... My dog died because of a stomach infection/gum diseases.
What killed me the most was that we couldn't keep her at the hospital cause my family had no more money. We even borrowed money from friends and family to keep my dog as long as possible at the hospital. The doctor even wrote my parents a letter saying that he strongly suggested her to stay longer. She died that night at around 9:40 on my bed. I never regretted and cried so much in my life. It was so painful watching her die, she spazzed out before she died... I couldn't bare to see her dead on my bed so I ran outside and kept on running until my legs gave out. The sad thing is I didn't even go with my family to get her creamated. Til this day I do not know where her creamation is and I don't even want to know because that was one of the most painful experiences I had when I was young. Sorry if this emotional but I can't help it man I loved my dog.

Man i hope your pooch pulls through ok Minicobra1, that is a rough thing to go through. I had to put down my first bloodhound, he had cancer and it spread pretty fast. He went from 155 lbs to about 125 in a three week period. Good luck.

That is absolutely horrible. I'm so sorry for your loss.
