Our cat bravely stalking a couple of buzzards dining on an armadillo in our front yard in an apparent food-chain misunderstanding:

Unfortunately, my wife was manning the camera and didn't get a photo of erstwhile brave cat nonchalantly slinking away after one of his targets displayed his wingspan.

This was a year or so earlier in another situation he had difficulty extracting himself from. There seems to be a life-long pattern here.

This is Oliver, the cat formerly known as Olivia, until the vet informed us that he needed neutering rather than spaying.

Those pics are 6-7 years old. I'm sorry I don't have one from a few days ago where he herded a four-foot king snake underneath my wife's car while she watched from afar and screamed hysterically because she was convinced that the snake would travel from under the engine compartment to the driver's seat.

I think Oliver has been getting lazy and sub-contracting his pursuit of voles and moles in the yard to the snake.
