Haha, my buddy is like this - he owns 30+ rifles, and anytime someone new who is even remotely anti-guns, he starts ranting about the most EXTREME interpretation of whatever their stance is on gun ownership.
IE: New senator wants stricter gun control laws, checking licenses more or more thorough background checks when purchasing one. Friends interpretation: Senator hates weapons and anything to do with them, and somehow in some mysterious way its infringing his second amendment rights by potentially blocking his ability to purchase ANOTHER weapon to add to his collection (even if it may prevent many people who SHOULDNT be purchasing one, from getting one...). Yes, he's a classic NRA member who thinks we're the "last line of defense" for the country when "the **** hits the fan".
