Im not a big tequila or red wine drinker but Im looking to get some good quality bottles of both for someone this xmas. Iv googled a bit here and there but Id like some opinions from experience.
Im looking to spend between $100-$150 all together if that helps. |
red wine?
anything californian Preferably an even number year Silver oak, cakebread, opus one, duckhorn, chateau st. Jean is nice Tequila Patron silver, Corzo, Cabo Wabo Personally a good match would be a bottle of patron silver and a bottle of Camus special reserve great bottle! |
Milagro Tequila...Nuff Said :)
these drinks wont be combined in the same night of drinking...I just know they like to have a glass of red wine during the evening once in a while and their favorite shot is tequila.
If you can find it, Agavero Tequila is amazing, IMO. If not, Patron Silver is a classy alternative that goes well with just about everybody.
For the tequila I would make sure you pick up an anejo made of 100% agave...
Silver oak is very good. As for Teq. go with Clase Azul very smooth.
penca azul is awesome tequila as far as wine goes... well, take advise from everyone else.

Penca Azul Tequila Anejo Limited Edition 750ML ,Penca Azul - Wally's Wine and Spirits for reference! this is only 120 because it comes in a very nice box with those shot glasses. you can get that bottle for $90 and the reposado is nice as well.
