New Computer!
Well, my HP Pavilion a6600f PC crashed.
I am having a new computer built. Pertinant specs are : Phenom II Quad-core 955 AMD 3.2Ghz ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics card w/Gigabyte 785 GMT motherboard 8GB DDR3 1TB 7200rpm harddrive (Hitachi) I know NOTHING about computers really. I am not a computer guy. I am a car/gun/medical profession guy. I want to play WoW Cataclysm and even these latest patches were running SLOW on my HP 2.2 GHz. It used a 7100 GeForce card. I know the HD4250 is the weak-link in my system and a dedicated card would be best (easily upgradable), but how does it compare to my old 7100? Is this a good setup for $850 including 1-year warranty and an official Win7 CD? How does my system stack up, kinda lame in the scheme of things, or is it okay? I didn't want to spend the extra money to go i7 or wait for half a month to get one built. My HP died last night. Motherboard. THey re-soldered the North Bridge and it is ghetto-rigged for now until they build the above computer. Thoughts? |
