I liked it. I'm gonna watch the next one with the Z and so one until something better comes along.

There is something better - Top Gear on BBCA. But they might get better with enough time.

I've still been watching, it's gotten a little better but has a long way to go. The most recent episode with the F150 Raptor and the HALO jumper was pretty good.

Well they finally had the stig run a car and then they ran the Raptor which was really cool to see. Not sure it was the best episode of the four, but it wasn't the worst either. The BBC version has had 10+ years to perfect the show and chemistry, so I'm willing to keep watching.

everyone keep saying BBS has had so much time to fine tune things. Yes the first episodes were no where near as entertaining as they are now, that is irrelevant becuase it does not take any time to tune an exact copy. The scene with the rapotor, besides every other show was just a reenactment of the english show. They swapped a lander rover for a f150 to appeal to the Americans and then just remade the other show almost exactly, down to the camera angels and "photo finish" as he swoops by.
They do have an impressive ability to take all of the entertainment out of the shows during this process though. For a second I actually thought they might at least test the truck, but they just did the same simple things they've show it doing everywhere else with so many cutaways you can never really be sure what is going on anyway. It did take a few easy hit at least though, but I'm still not impressed. That truck is over priced and 87% marketing, but that is another issue I could care less if they did a lap in it or not, but they did say they were going to test every car. So they took an Off-Road pickup truck around a race track but not a sports car they actually should have, that people would actually want to see.

I hate Taner Faust when he was doing the "battle of the supercars" show
he would always lose even if he had the faster car because he is a drifter not a race car driver. |

I thought Top Gear America was getting better until I saw the new Top Gear UK that came on yesterday... wow. I know its unfair to compare but I sure am glad the TG UK is back.
Another episodes airs on Christmas day. |

Season 1 Finale
They summarized the entire season into one episode. Not in a good way. In a way that you could actually watch the entire season in one episode. IMO that is lame. Not something I have ever seen with FatHead, Captain Slow, and Hamster (Even in the first few seasons).
Most episodes were practically a shot for shot remake of Top Gear UK episodes, sometimes even down to the same car. Foust was funny at times, and is an excellent driver, and was impressive to watch at times. Rutledge is a lovable comic gold mine and help make the show somewhat watchable. ADAM FERRARA NEEDS TO FALL OFF THE PLANET! He is not funny (though he thinks he is) and can't driver a car, nor name anything outside of a domestic or the exotics that 12 year olds have hanging on their walls in the form of poster. First season was passable, but they need to drop Ferrara like a bad habit. Thoughts now that the season is over? |

The "best American truck" episode was one of the better episodes. It didn't seem as "forced." A big part of the apeal of Top Gear is the comradery, something that has been lacking from the beginning. I'd watch the 2nd season if it happens, but they do need to drop Adam. He's worst than the fat guy from the first season of Top Gear UK.

Tanner Faust is a drifter not a racer.
In "battle of the super cars" he would always make the fastest car lose cuz he doesn't know how to drive. I think the show is awful, it's just so wannabe. Also who finishes a season with a recap of the show?!!! That just means they don't know what else to do already. |
