Ex US AIR FORCE 6years...3tours in IRAQ....i really miss the military though...did 1 year in iraq also as a KBR contractor in 2007

I'm a little disappointed that nobody in a Military History class coule figure out that veterans were responsible for their freedom.

Great lesson by the teacher...

Today despite the fact the kids have a Memorial Day (Canada) assembly at school I am going to read them a couple of letters that were printed that the veterans were told to right home before 'd-day' and were supposed to be written under the assumption it could very well be their last letter.

Very powerful stuff...

Where were you at in Iraq in 07?? I was in Balad from July to September 07..

I was with the 332nd at Al Jaber AB, Kuwait in '00 and Balad AB, Iraq in '06. Fire Protection.

I spent over three years in the Philippine Islands from 1969-1972 in the USAF. Anyone here serve as a "GI in the PI?" Best years of my life!
My father was a combat wounded vet of WW2 .. Bombadeer navigator in a B17.. anyone here have a father who was stationed in England during those years?
