If they're going to start arresting people they should start with the producers of those movies.

why are they not legal?

Cmike2780 11-03-2010 12:49 PM

Is this the plot for the next film? :)

phelan 11-03-2010 12:49 PM

did not pass safety tests, although out of all of them, the R33 has the most to stand on, as some owners actually bought cars for the gov't to test them for safety.

This, Motorex did legalize some but only a few and then tried to pass wrong information as real information and got caught.
So, the guy saying this is the last one actually makes it a bad buy as the ones near the end were the ones under suspicion.

It's a mix of things. (1) it's a nanny state. The gov't knows better than you about what cars you can drive. (2) More importantly, the safer the vehicles, the less severe the injuries in crash situations, and the less severe the injuries are, the cheaper it is for hospitals and ambos to treat you, as well as the easier it is for cops to quickly clean up after you.

Bottom line: it's always about money.
