Why is FOX Channel are screwed up?
FOX Channel 14 in cable TV is all screwed up. During the football games this afternoon I could not watch the scores and some other things.
Now diring the NLCS I cannot see the score or the screen when a pitch is doubtfu that they showed on the left side. TBS doesn't have that problem. It doesn't matter in what TV I watch it 42", 32" or 22" LCD TV. It look like the shot is too strech out for the view on TV. Damn FOX TV.  Anyone else experience this? http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2...s/101_0426.jpg http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2...s/101_0430.jpg http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2...s/101_0428.jpg NOTE: Is a point and shoot camera. |
Not sure what that is about, but FOX is off the air by me because of a disagreement with money.

I had a problem also with Fox today. My provider (AT&T) switched to none HD signal for all Fox channels for some reason, I actually did not like watching it because of how blurry and laggy the game became. |

Is this issue only on Cable TV , FIOS or Satellite too? |
What channel is Fox for you?
|
Thought this was gonna get political.

Odd. I've got it on here and the box is about 2 inches from the left of the screen where it's supposed to be. Sure it's not the setup on your TV?

I don't know if this pic is any good because I'm in the dark and using my iPhone. http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/g...a/f31d7930.jpg |
I have FiOS and my picture is completely normal.
I see you have a Samsung, did you try adjusting your Picture Options in the settings menu? |
Do you have a "set by program" or something like it in your aspect ratio settings?
|
Don't forget some cable boxes also have aspect ratio settings.

Mine is good we have dish but we will switch back if we lose fox and 17 like they are saying which I hope we do I hate dish love directv
|
If it's only the Fox channel it's an issue with your cable provider.
If you adjust the aspect ratio it will be a smaller picture but it won't solve your issues. |
well I'm here on the west coast.... and using Dish Network, I have a HD FOX and non HD... pretty much all my channels are like that because the TV with the box has an HDMI cable, I am using a coaxial cable with a signal from the box.. So i am using the non HD channel and its fine, the HD channel looks like yours
|
By talking to co-workers that is the problem with FOX here, thier HD channel. Have to switch the TV to non HD channel to be able to watch it like in any other channel.
|
I had the exact same problem when I switched from cable to satellite tv.
The new cable box defaulted to a "zoom" setting on HD channels to get rid of the black-border areas that are normal on an HD channel. I set it back to normal and it got rid of it. |
All you guys complaining about not being able to watch Fox on Cablevision....buy an antenna! :tiphat:

I had the unfortunate oportunity to work for that company and know their tactics first hand. Buying a digital converter and antenna is a good idea for you Cablevision customers, this might last long. |

At least the game looks better! |

Did you try to adjust the picture in the TV's settings menu? Not sure if it would help but it's worth a try. |

Man, I came in here expecting something completely different.

DAMN, freaking COX Cable is doing the same $hit during the World Series again!!! Why they don't leave it in widescreen TV like the last couple games. Freaking cable companies!

FYI - if you subscribe to MLB's world series internet streaming feed, Cablevision will reimburse you for the cost. :tiphat:
