Yep, because a few companies tried to pass the R34 using the R33 DOT testing and the Feds found out and shut it down. A bunch of people lost what they thought was a US street legal R34, crushed and destroyed. :shakes head:

i love how the feds overreact and crush some of the most valued cars of all time on a whim just to go "hey guys f*ck you".

i can understand when they crush rice rockets and sh*t, but the r34??? wtf.

Really? Just let the damn car into the country, and charge a 10% fee or something.

It's not like it's more dangerous than any other collector car. And the people who owned the cars obviously spent time to bring it in and make it 'legal', at least they thought they did. There should've been an option to just pay a fine and be done with it.

seems like the harder part is getting it federal legal, its not that uncommon to find R33's legal, especially if they arent a GTR
