What is your reason? The video offers no explanation why the car shot forward!

This is the one where the owner of the car lets his kid sit in the car and rev the engine. Well, the kid revs the engine and engages 1st gear. Oops.

Thread should read: This is why you don't do stupid things with your car.

My heart felt like it dropped 10 feet underground when that kid drove it into that house and through the wall and maybe over a bike? I feel bad for the car and the dad. lol

Bet you Dad left the car in gear. After the kid started it up he took his foot off the brake and with the amount of power the car has it just took off already engaged in a gear.

Not as bad as the one where this man let his young GF drive the Shelby Cobra and she trashed it!

Do you mean foot off the clutch? I don't think the GT500 comes in an automatic, at least not in 2007. And if it did, it wouldn't let you start it in gear, only P or N probably.

I think he means dad left it in first with the car off. When the boy started it and let off the brake the idle was high enough for it to start moving.
