Work filters prevent me from linking to the GT-5 blog :icon17: but here is the info that was posted:

Gran Turismo 5 Update 2.0 detailed

Alchemy 10-05-2011 03:24 PM

Yeah, didnt check your link but my buddy was just tellin me about it. He says they are "semi detailed" so I not expecting much. Are they the real interiors to all the cars or do you think a lot of them will be a generic interior?

Eric 10-05-2011 03:33 PM

Personally, I could care less about the interior views. They are great for the people that want them but I rarely use them. I might use it more if the cockpit view didn't shake so violently at high speed and if I could toggle the steering wheel off. I don't need to see my wheel and another wheel on the monitor.

They will be the same as the premiums cars, there are already a few pics of the new views on the GT-5 Facebook that I saw about an hour ago.

I like to drive with the cockpit views so this is going to make me play the game even more than I have in the past!

Alchemy 10-05-2011 04:25 PM

I have been using cockpit more ofter recently. I also like the bumper cam. Ive been trying to use cockpit unless im in a real competitive room w people on par w my skills, which rarely happens :roflpuke2: Just got home, washing my Z then gt later tonight, off work tomorrow:tup:

i have a driving force GT wheel to sale got $90 if anyone needs it

Zaggeron 10-05-2011 05:37 PM

I'm pumped up about the cockviews views myself. In the premiums I drive exclusively in that view, but I have to resort to the hood view for the standards, but there is something off about that view ... it's a little too high off the ground (if it is a roof view that explains it, but who wants to drive from the roof). This has definitely made me race the standard cars much less.

What I hope is that when the standard car has a premium version (I'll talking to you rx-7, miata, Ford GT, etc.) they more or less reuse that view -- though they may have to make it a bit generic so it isn't exactly the same ...

I hate the current view for the standard cars, I can't see laterally as well as I can with the cokpit view.

I would be pretty dissappointed if it wasn't a model specific view but judging by the photos I saw earlier it will be just like the premium version.

It will probably be model specific, but not as detailed as the premiums I'm betting -- e.g. the fact that the cup holder was 2 inches to the left in the '97 miata over the '98 will not likely be reflected :roflpuke2:
