yeah man it was tough took me about an hour to get gold. i ended up with like a 7:47.5 or something just barely gold but i didnt use any type of tuning really i just upped the downforce to 15/35 and then put the camber at about -2. i could have gotten a bit lower but that damn car frustrates me too much. its twitchy then snaps into understeer. its hard to get a clean lap driving 10/10ths with it.. you have to baby it to get a non red lap

i had the weight reduction to stage 3 but in order to make 513pp i had to lower the power too much so i added weight back to it to pretty much undo the weight reduction

but yeah it took me a while i had to keep chasing my ghost and shave a few seconds at a time off

the race was kinda hard too and i had full weight and power stage 3.. no matter how hard i drove it i was always 4 secs off the #1 car and had to brake insanely late after the final stretch and pass the car in the final two turns

:tiphat: I feel like the "tuned" version is harder to control than the regular version. Had the same issue in the 8th part of GT Academy. I played with all kinds of suspension setting on it and that thing is just too prone to spin. I'm currently using -2 camber front and -1.2 rear but perhaps more camber is needed in the rear. I don't have any power/weight mods seeing as my car with an oil change was over the 413 pp. only successful run i did (so far im 1/10 for getting a full lap in without invalidating) I was 40 sec behind gold :ugh2:

yeah the car to me is one of the worst handling cars in the game i was frustrated on round 8 aswell with it.. it just would not do what you were wanting it to do input wise.

I do a lot of laps on the ring and my first lap i didnt have a ghost so no way of knowing how fast or slow i was and i thought i was going to gold my first lap. I ended up with like a 8:01. so then i knew i had to put in some work

try putting active steering on strong and bumping the traction control up a bit. I think when i ran my gold run even i had TC on 3-4 and i usually run traction control totally off
it really doesnt interfere too bad just as long as ASM is off


i also used the bumper cam view. usually i run cockpit camera for my racing rig but when i need every single tenth to count sometimes i find i can do better with the bumper cam and just seeing on the screen gauges

Yep on the nurburgring bumper view is much easier because of the narrow course with elevation changes/blind corners. I Tried few more times, still not there yet. Seems like I'm not pushing the car enough/braking too early and much

Is it possible to create your own custom room/community on gt5? Haven't spent much time in the online mode, too many kids lol

I played this weekend for the first time online and while it was fun, it was never fair races it seemed. Anytime i joined a race, people just had the best of the best cars, which i didnt have and I would get smoked. So then i started doing the random races where you set the PP and you all get random cars, and winner of that race gets the worst car for the next race. Its fun but you are limited to sport tires, which makes it awful because your constantly skidding out if you use faster cars...

I guess ill have to play around with it more but I wasn't all that impressed with online...

Online is the way to go. Yes you can totally customize your room. You an even limit what aids can be turned on and what tires to use plus many other things. I never play GT offline unless its seasonals.

I added someone and had a couple races...

I name my rooms

all together so I can get more nissan heads into one place

Guess ill have to play around more...

Do you or anyone else know if you can make Shuffle Races with better tires? I really like those races but when you only get Sport hard tires, it makes it a bit tough...

I never do the shuffle races cause I always get stuck in the crappiest cars. Im not sure if you can change the tires since I dont mess with those races.

max tire settings in all modes I think are gated by the host settings. So if the best tire you could select was sport-hard, then the host had it set that way in the room options.

Racing online is fantastic if you can find a group of adult racers and the host is doing his job of keeping the kids out. There has to be rules in online racing because it is ridiculous to have street cars and race cars on the track at the same time.

but to be fair sport soft tire dramatically changed the results to 3.6 and 11.9-12.0
