yeah if someone wanted to you can just pay the $5 for the code and keep your order elsewhere if thats what you would rather do... that would be a way to get as many stealth cars as possible.... and if you read the fine print on the preorder if its not picked up by 11/6 you can even get your $5 back.. that is if you really need it lol

i was gonna keep my preorder at gamestop then the manager tells me they arnt having a midnight sale like they have for the past other big games so ... there wasnt a reason for me to keep it with them

I was just doing some reading and the game is also going to have face tracking using the playstation eye. So when you move your head to the side. The in game camera will also pan to the side you're looking at. VERY COOL.

the sad part about it is about 90% of us will still buy the game when it comes out regardless of how pissed we are about it now. They know this is the case and so they are not that worried.

OK I am not mad at Sony anymore for the delay. The reason for the delay is that GT5 was going to ship out to only require firmware 3.41. The delay is to make it require firmware 3.50.

If you have been following the ps3 scene, you would know that 3.41 firmware has been hacked. If GT5 shipped out, it would lose out on all the sales.

Pissing off fans for a temporary rise in sales? I guess I can understand Sony's point of view, but i'm one of the people that's not sure if I'm going to buy it anymore. I can get my entertain in plenty of other places.

I'm not sure how much longer I can take this, I'm heading towards a mental breakdown here! They have kept us wait for 4 years....... I can't wait much longerrrrrrrrrrrr :eekdance:

New date is rumored to be December 23, 2010. I don't know about you guys, but this is a failure of a release date in my books.

I was hoping to buy GT5 and a PS3 for myself on my birthday. But I hope GT5 at least comes out before Christmas but I'm not holding my breath.

they always delay the release date. must be some sort of marketing mind control bull.

No I think this time it's not just marketing. They didn't have presale for the other rumors in the past years which leads me to think that they were really planning to release it in Nov.

This delay was done because of sales. The PS3 was recently hacked and the firmware they had in GT5 was the hacked firmware. So they have to update the software so that it will require a higher firmware than the hacked one.

The worst part is they got us all excited with that crap Prologue that they gave us which didnt even have the tuning aspect of the game. Now another 2 month wait, sheesh. Im doubtful we'll even get it in January. I read an article somewhere, it was a Q and A with the main designer of the game. He was asked if he thought we would have to wait until 2011 to get our hands on this game. His answer, "I highly doubt that will happen" Well, here we are. Doh!

Prologue isn't meant to be a complete game. Gran Turismo Prologues have been coming out in the past.

So i wonder how long it will take for them to stamp a couple million copies. Prob another 6 months? Sorry for the negativity but fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

They only people "saying" anything are the retailers, who project next month, the month after etc. Really they don't know anything more than we as consumers know.

Kaz said yesterday the discs are beings stamped as we speak. Who knows when they started stamping them. Probably a couple weeks ago looking at the timeline of the delay. From going gold to the store shelf is about a month long process. So here before the holidays as Sony stated.

And they are not giving a release date anytime soon I would guess. They wouldn't want to burn everyone once more. They will announce the release once it's on the way to distribution.

and ya, prolouge was just a demo of GT5. Each GT has a prolouge pretty much. It's the arcade version of GT with few cars.

Let's hope it is right :). Though it is not "official".

I'm actually guessing GT6 will be another GT4, a ******** cash-in from the previous game. Rehash with new/more cars and extra tracks released 2 years later once the predecesor's sales die out.
