I like Yamaha - replaced DSP-A1 with RX-Z7 to get video processing - up converts all inputs for me.

Depends on the price range but I prefer Onkyo myself. Here is a link to Home Theater Mag with some of their suggestions.

I have a couple of onkyo's, they are all good. Onky TX-SR series. they make ones with multiple HDMI inputs, some even have 5. they go from like 300 to 800. Btw, this is really handy. Make changing inputs and components a 1 touch event. Harmony Remotes I've got 2 890's and an 880. Only real difference is that one doesnt require line of sight.

I like the Onkyo but they start doing weird things after a few years (I've had 2). Next time around I'm going for the Yamaha.

Also do your research on the forums, there were a couple of models that had a HDMI issue that was a large delay in the video stream making it unusable for gaming. The issue could be worked around by using pass through mode. I'm sure they've fixed it on the new models but something to look for if buying an older model.

What speakers are you running or want to run in the future? Are you looking for something that just gives you hdmi switching or a lot of clean power. If you are running something like polk lsi25's your going to want something big. Answer those and I can recommend a few units.
