The Douchebaggery Thread!

SO this thread is dedicated to those who have received the Douchebag Attitude from other drivers and those of you have given the attitude to others while driving the 370Z!

I'll start

While in the 370, i am at a stop sign waiting for a chance to merge unto the main road, Mercedes CL 500? pulls up on my right, rolls down his window. conversation goes as follows;

Mercedes="How much HP?"

Me="about 320 but it's 280 to the wheels"

Mercedes="i have 530, hahaha"

Me="That's cool bro"

Mercedes proceeds to make a right and do the infamous flyby!

*note* he seemed to be 19? (im in my 20's), oh and he had his girl with him who kept looking over.

i've bee a victim of Douchebaggery....today.

I've been lucky so far in the Z.

The S was another story entirely. I can't even count the number of arguments I had with VW guys that thought the thing was FWD.

Yeah, CLK500 and the Z shouldn't be a problem. ~305hp and 330 lb-ft stock and the weigh about 3550 lbs. The AMG package on the CLK500s is only the wheels and body kit so that doesn't really add anything to performance. With the 5spd auto it was a high 13 second car (with a few dipping into the mid 13s), and with the 7 speed it was a tad quicker.

Stock for stock a 370 would win unless the driver messed up.

I used to drive my ex's all the time. It's a sleeper to people that don't really know any better (ricers).

well, im not in my 370 anymore, but I came across a rather large amount of the bagness today, I was driving along, minding my own business, enjoying the cool weather we've been having at night lately and I come to a stop light. All of a sudden in my rear view I see Camaro headlights come flying up from behind into the lane next to me, before the guy comes to a stop, he gives his engine a good rev (obviously to be a tool, because unbeknownst to him, you dont need to blip the throttle to shift into neutral). Exhaust was painfully stock which made me chuckle a bit more, so of course, I had to oblige, revved mine to about 5k, Angels sang, Satan screamed, a small child in Ethiopia cried and his smile dropped as fast as his sisters panties on her sweet sixteen. Flawless Victory.

unfortunaley he was right, i googled the mercedes cl 500hp, and that was the car i ran into. Im not mad about being underpowered, i could care less, but just the attitude. But whatever, he must have been intimidated to begin with, im pretty sure his girl said something, which might have pressured him to pull his ego out to save face.

If it was a CL600 with the 500+ bhp bi-turbo V12, then it also weights 4900 lb without occupants... so, you'd probably be neck-and-neck since that's pretty much the same power-to-weight ratio as the Z.

A couple weeks back I'll never forget the black camaro douchebaggery I had to face. It started off normal enough; we were next to each other at a stop light and apparently minding our own business.

When it went green, I accelerated slowly while the camaro took off. I didn't think much of it, because if you want to feel the Gs, by all means. This guy, however, slowed down until I caught up and then gunned it again. When I didn't follow suit, he again eased back and this time rolled down his heavily tinted window to stare me down through his sunglasses (Seriously... Limo tint AND sunglasses?). This time he stayed soemwhat neck and neck with me and would occasionally give it more gas to see if I';d go for it, but I wasn't biting.

When we got to the next light he asked why I didn't want to race. I answered "I'm on my way to the grocery store."

the crazy thing is, I've noticed just as much, if not more, douchebaggery since i've been driving my 5.0 than in my Z, not only do I have to deal with fellow American Muscle dbags, I still have to contend with the honda douchers as well. Ghey.

On the whole I have had far fewer people mess with me in the Mustang than the Z. I think most people figured they could beat the Z than the 5.0. I still have the same tools in Scions and Civic Sis trying to get me to run as I did in the Z. Although I am starting to think those kids really just want to see the car go. They have to be idiots if they think they're fart-canned girly car can keep with a 370 or a 5.0.

I did have to teach a 911 Carerra S driver a lesson on the track the other weekend, though.
