The Death Toll
Louisville has recently changed one of the main traffic info light bulb signs from a sea tbelt PSA to a death count for Kentucky roads. This counter for this year read 454 on wednesday, 459 on thursday, and 462 today...
It truly amazes me day after day how dangerous the roads are around here. Every day I see at least one accident on the freeway to or from work, and its always a bad one. The guard rails are literally mangled to death on exits and on-ramps from colisions. Anyone else live somewhere with a death counter? Do I live in a particularly dangerous road state, or is this the shocking norm? |
I live in California, the land of car is your bubble and the cell phone is more important, I miss driving in NY not the city, but at least people were alert.
Oh and if one drop of rain hits the ground here in ca you will have 60 wrecks in an hour.... Im speaking from san diego and other local region experience , havn't driven above santa monica LA area donth think ca has a death counter per say... |
