The one thing that really irritates me is when someone pulls out right in front of me, only to go 5 or 10 mph under the limit, and there are absolutely NO cars behind me (they could have waited three seconds for me to pass and gone as slow as they wanted).
This happens to me quite often on my way to work. I typically beat the morning rush, so I'll be the only car on a particular road (one lane each way). There is a traffic light, and any car coming up to that light will gun it around that corner to get in front of me (to the point that I have to hit the brakes to avoid rear-ending them) and they end up going 35mph (it's a 45mph zone). It's incredibly irritating and I've started putting the beams on until they GTFO of my way or speed up. Also, people who sit 2 car lengths behind sensor lights. People, they've been around for decades, and your car needs to be over the sensor to trip the light. Let's move up. Thanks |

I can't stand drivers who sit in the left land and refuse to move over. The left lane is meant for faster drivers. If I want to drive 80 in a 70 on the interstate, then get out of my way. Yes, I will tailgate you and flash my lights; I don't understand how anyone would want someone behind them doing that...just get out of the person's way so I can go on by you. Don't make me (or any other driver) pass you on the right.
I also hate how in rush hour traffic (either in the morning or afternoon) everyone decides that the speed limit doesn't apply to them. If it says 50...drive at least 50; 55 is also OK too, but whatever you do, don't drive 45. Lastly, in three lanes of traffic, everyone driving the exact same speed and you can't get around any of them. All you can see in front of them is open road but yet you're stuck behind them. Usually they're driving 5 below the speed limit or right on the speed limit. Yes, I understand that the speed limit is the fastest you should drive legally, but let's be honest, most drive 5-10 over.

Also, in heavy stop/go traffic, the people who skip the line either by going off the side or in an exiting lane (driving all the way up to the exit before merging). This just slows the whole line down |

I agree with pretty much everything said here. Also, semi drivers that try to control traffic or change lanes when they can clearly see you coming up in the passing lane.

this thread made me cry from laughing. i drive all day long and there are 3 things i see everyday that really get me pissed.
1) people who race through a changing light to beat out the light at the last second. happens alot.. and they nearly kill themselves and others trying to get across, leaving the motorists trapped in the intersection trying to turn left. and i don't know if this happens everywhere but around here 100% of the time. 2) while trying to merge onto the highway people who speed up and cut u out from merging / block u and run u onto the shoulder. even though ur like 3 car lengths in front of them. this happens more to me in the z than it ever did in my maxima. 3) people who don't let u out of a street during traffic. i was in my ups truck trying to make a left (this is why we don't make left turns) for like 15 min. lots of people where laughing this day as i was yelling at the girl on her cell phone blocking me from exiting. all i wanted to do was cross the street, did u really not see me? oops i guess i have 4 things. 4) people who purposely block the people merging by riding the middle of the line blocking 2 lanes. seems like every time i see this it's a Delaware license plate. just sayin. |

This thread is going to get long.
All of it boils down to one thing. People not paying attention. Ok so maybe two things... Not giving a crap about anyone else but themselves. |

driving habits that piss me off? easy, female driving habits.
I really hate when drivers are not assessing the driving situations around them, they are just driving in their tunnel vision and have no idea what to anticipate based on the other cars around them. This one may be tough to explain but it always gets on my nerves more than anything. I hate when you're driving down a 2 way street with 2 solid lines down the middle, there's a double parked car in your lane, you go closer to the 2 solid lines to pass it, there's a car going the other way that can easily move a little to their right so you dont have to pass so close to each other, but NO they still keep going in their straight line make the passing of the double parked vehicle a tight squeeze. |

I think just about all my pet peeves can be summed up in three categories:
1. Lack of common courtesy. 2. No common sense. 3. Lack of understanding of their own vehicles capabilities and limitations.

2) Driving a piece of **** that chokes me out of the car with the reek of burning oil. 3) Failing to move over to the left lane when it is completely open and someone is trying to merge into the right lane currently occupied by YOU. |
