When I watched that American Beauty movie, and what's-his-name was cranking in the shower in the morning, I was like "HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!?!? I'D GO RIGHT BACK TO SLEEP!!!!!!!"

This bike only costs $6,200 and Hyosung offers discounts and the dealer also told me they are willing to negotiate a price. Therefore I can deff get it under $6,000.

I looked online and someone said it runs the 1/4 mile in like 12.1 and 0-60 in approx 3.8ish. Its written up pretty well for new riders. A bike that fast thats forgiving to mistakes is a good deal to me!

The SV, FZ6R I think it is and the Kawasaki 650 are also options. This just looks badass and is a little cheaper. I may look at a preowned SV since its 2nd on my list.

I'm a few years outdated on my bikes, but especially for a first bike I'd stick to one of the big four. I had an sv650, great bike. I think it's something solid to learn on.

The HS comes in an R model, which might be too touchy for you while you are learning, and the non-R, which will leave you bored after you get riding down. The SV (and the ninja 650) will both be torquey enough to be fun, and have nice, smooth powerbands.
Just my thoughts.

I hear the GT650R is very similar to the SV650

I know streetbikes are different but I am good with sensative throttles. My Raptor 660r tried to stand 12oclock everytime I touched the throttle lol

your purchase, your call, but I'll take the build and reliability of the SV or Ninja any day. No experience with the YZ but I'm sure it is good as well.

I do recommend at least sitting on all the bikes to see how the seating positions agree with you. I know the old HS's weren't bad, but I hear they've gotten more aggressive with seating-- works for some, not for others.

Yeah I am still going to check the SV without a doubt. The fact that I spoken to people who own a SV and not one said bad things makes me feel good about them.
